It doesn't help that John Jones is such a common name and with no middle name we are aware of. Dathai I presume those are records of ownership rather than residency. The last record we have of John in Baltinglass is for February 1851 when someone tried to shoot him. He survived and the assassin was transported to Aus. We then have a litter written by Mary in 1856 giving the address as Laurel Lodge but no further location information.
I also recall seeing a deed that Mary acquired a property in or about 1824 from Newtons of Dunleckney Manor. I don't know if it's the same property.I think I have a copy of the deed number but I didn't get a copy of the deed so this may be a red herring.
I can't even say Mary was from the area as they were married in Kilkenny.

While searching online newspapers I found an article dated 27 November 1858 stating that John Jones was traveling from Hacketstown to his house in Rathduff, Bagenalstown. When nearing his home his horse stumbled and he was thrown from his Gig. He died from his injuries.
We had never known this before and it's quite strange.
Anyway, Rathduff is a townland just north of Dunceckney Manor and the house isn't named on the old OS maps.
