Occupation on 1939 Register - What was it?
« on: Friday 26 January 18 22:31 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

Have come across an occupation shown on the 1939 Register & am bemused as to what it was!

The occupation in question was transcribed as 'Textile Woollen Scribber' on looking at the original however it actually says 'Textile Woollen Scribbler'.

Anyone know what a 'Textile Woollen Scribbler' was?

The husband & wife in question (both had the same occupation) lived in the West Riding of Yorkshire near Guiseley.

Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards

David
