Wisbech shows as a marriage, one of them is just a 'record' of the other marriage, but which one is which?

I think it is the fact she is the widow of a Yeoman & he is an 'important' Gent that has led to double documentation.

Maybe. It’s just listed in the marriages like the others in saffron Walden. Funny that John Clarke’s will is on Essex records though?

Will of John Sharpe shows son William, eldest daughter Martha and other daughter Debora. He leaves then money and to his ‘other children’ he leaves land in saffron Walden.

Many thanks, looks like a different JS or he didn't include his step-children / grandchildren

Unless the other children are his step children, as he leaves Martha and debora thirty pounds each and the others the acres in saffron Walden? Debora is an unusual name for then. Do you know if he had a Debora?

I have nothing on his second marriage at all. Her first marriage produced Elizabeth & Mary (details below).

However he is an extra step beyond the Scortred family and I try not to get to involved in researching them unless necessary

Many thanks for all your help
