My 2x gt. grandfather Edward Mackavoy (sometimes spelt Macavoy was a Fleet Engineer in the Royal Navy. On 29/9/1868 he was in the  General Military Hosp. Karachi. (Ticket no. CG524).
I have looked on the hospitals website and they do not appear to have any archive services. I should like to know why he was in the hospital and any other details they might have about him. How could I find out?
