Unknown foil/O'Neil wedding group - date please.
« on: Sunday 28 January 18 13:46 GMT (UK) »
Can this photo which was found in my late aunty's effects be dated from the clothing please. She was an O'Neill from Cardiff who married a Foils from Co. Cork so those are the two families most likely to be involved.

Hi

I think it looks like 1918-1920.

My guess (before seeing Gadget's more expert estimate) was to say immediate post war to very early 20s; so with the boy at the front you're probably looking at someone born 1910-14.

Peter
Convicts: COSIER (1791); LEADBEATER (1791); SINGLETON (& PARKINSON) (1792); STROUD (1793); BARNES (aka SYDNEY) (1800); DAVIS (1804); CLARK (1806); TYLER (1810); COWEN (1818); ADAMS[ON] (1821); SMITH (1827); WHYBURN (1827); HARBORNE (1828).
Commoners: DOUGAN (1844); FORD (1849); JOHNSTON (1850); BEATTIE (& LONG) (1856); BRICKLEY (1883).
Outlaws: MCGREGOR (1883) & ass. clans, Glasgow, Glenquaich, Glenalmond and Glengyle.

This has already been dated by Jim as 1919 -early 1920s:

I thought I had seen it before as it looks like it had been restored.

Thank you all for your expert replies. It had been restored on the site previously but I lost all my computer records and had to start again. Thanks again. Tony
