John Lowry & family 1911 Census occupation Sculptor any other records?
« on: Sunday 28 January 18 15:18 GMT (UK) »
John Lowry b1849 listed on the 1911 Census has his occupation Sculptor previously Stone Cutter married 15th April 1868 Bangor to Eliza Jane Blakeley b 1849. Their children were daughters b either Castlereagh or in Holywood. 1911 address 1 Stewart's Place and 1901 3 High St Holywood. Cant trace either of their Graves Deaths so far.
I imagine he was working on Church or monumental works rather than art sculptors.
Hoping to find more records post 1911 any suggestions welcomed as where to locate Street or Trade Directories for the County.

There is a death listed on the groni site for a John Lowry, aged 70 on 7th July 1918, registration District - belfast

There is a few more possibilities, so buy some credits and check them out.

He was 63 in 1911, so aged 70 in 1918 sounds about right.

Thanks for all the responses, I'll give the death in 1918 a whizz, then search through births & update the forum later in week.
