If you look at the 1750 map, and use the slider at the bottom (Change transparency of Overlay) and slide it to the left, then you get the current map. If you line up the obvious towns, ie peebles, you will note that the overlay is slightly out. If you allow for the correction, you wil find that Garrelfoot is approx as shown in the attached.
