Marriage lookups 1806 and 1812 Aston Juxta
« on: Tuesday 30 January 18 03:20 GMT (UK) »
This is a long shot

A Richard Perkins was buried in Birmingham 31 Oct 1806

I have found children christened at Saint Phillips, Birmingham to parents Richard and Ann 1796 - 1805 so I suspect that this may be their father.

Some of their children married at Aston Juxta Birmingham, so to try and verify if this was their dad, I am looking to see if Ann Perkins a widow married at Aston Juxta just after the above death.

Two marriages I have found are

Ann Parkin m Richard Musgrove
10 November 1806, Aston Juxta, Birmingham

Ann Perkins m William James
14 Sept 1812, Aston Juxta, Birmingham

Thanks in advance

Ann Perkins and William James - no indication of marital status for either - botp - both made their mark.  Witnesses - Charlotte Baker and Christopher Small, again neither signed.

1806 marriage - again no further information, although they did both sign the register.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

ok thanks

as Thomas Perkins who married Eliza Vale 28 July 1826 Aston Juxta Birmingham, his witnesses were William and Ann Perkins and both signed (My Ann's son Thomas was Christened at St Phillips Birmingham in 1796) so maybe I answered my own question as to whether she remarried but she did have a daughter Ann.

The first that you mention is transcribed on A......try as Richard Morgan to Ann Parkes 1806

The second in 1812 as you note but neither state their status

Colin

I think family search was right, however the is a burial at Birmingham, St Philip
Ann Perkins 19 Mar 1808, sadly no detail. There are others around that time with family member noted.

Colin
Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.

Thanks, yeah to me that looks like Parkes not Pirkins/Perkins but I could be wrong (often so hard to be sure with old style writing).
