If I am not mistaken, I think St Chad was the closest Church to Brighton Avenue. (Someone please correct me if I am mistaken).
Perhaps if someone can get to Tyne and Wear Archives today or next week they could look up for a baptism?

According to Margaret Hall's website (Margaret Hall Genealogy) they hold records covering the time of your Mum's birth.
