...July 1906 the Cammacks visited her family in Nova Scotia then a year later sister Lizzie headed out west to stay with her sister Lucy who was in 'poor health.'
Sherman Cammack shot wife Lucy 30 Aug.1908 then himself- he died instantly but Lucy didn't die of her injuries until 9th April.1908...

Besides the TB idea (which could have lingered?), is there a possibility that poor health was a cover-up and that Lizzie actually stayed with her sister to offer support to her, if Lucy had a difficult marriage?  :-\

Added:  After reading the 5 Feb 1908 newspaper account of the shooting, Lucy mentioned: "...I told him that I could never live with him again...I told him that we had tried it so long unhappily that it would be useless to try to go on any more."  So, perhaps Lizzie went to Colorado to console/help her sister?

I think Lucy was either in poor physical health (miscarriage or something?) or upset about her marriage-

Liverpool Advance July 3 1907: Brooklyn Items: Miss Lizzie Gardner left this week for Pueblo, Colo., to visit her sister, Mrs Cammack, who is in poor health. Miss Gardner leaves many friends, who greatly deplore her departure from among them.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
