Losing interent connectivity when a 2nd laptop is inuse
« on: Wednesday 31 January 18 05:17 GMT (UK) »
There's three laptop users in my house and one laptop has a problem.

To explain I'll label them A, B, and C.

If A and B are both in use A loses internet connectivity

If A and C are both in use, both work fine.

If B and C are both in use, both work fine

Therefore it seems A has a problem connecting to wi-fi when B is connected.

Is there anyone who could offer a fix for this, please?

A's operating system is windows 8; B and C windows 10.

Possibly a case of duplicate IP addresses. Check all three machines and ensure they are set to use DHCP. If static addresses are assigned, make sure they are unique.
BARTRAM - Nottingham, Derby, originally Beds (Stagsden)
PERFETT - St Pancras & Marylebone, Rugby, Nottingham
RADFORD - Nottinghamshire, also back & forth to Bury
RUDD - Durham, Margate, Bermondsey, Newcastle, Nottingham

Thank you for your reply.  I'll try that when everyone's home; I don't know the password for one of the laptops, I've checked the other two (A and C) and both are set to DHCP.
