...the father of the John W Foote I am tracing, Andrew Foote (1844 England) died and was buried in Los Angeles in 1912?  But if he was being shipped to Los Angeles for burial with his father, wife Florence would have known where he was going?

According to his death certificate, John had seen a doctor for several months.  Perhaps John advised his wife should something happen to him that he was to be buried in Los Angeles?  Florence may not have known the names of his parents but possibly details had been pre-arranged for his possible burial?

In 1900 Florence was in Massechusetts, 2500 miles away?

Could she have travelled west with her husband or her mother and a sibling or two?

In 1900 it was just Florence and her mother - they had arrived in Massachusetts from Canada in 1896.

Apparently, there could have been two John W. Foote's in Utah.
This link mentions a possible connection to a B. F. Caffey and John W. Foote.

Also, reference to a John W. Foote:

There may be additional articles that mention John W. Foote/J W Foote.

True, but there's a chance that either a family member could have died prior to the census, or a family member was living in the same city/state (and thus could have travelled with them).    ???

Chronicling America site also has November 22, 1898, The Salt Lake Herald
Mention of John W. Foote of Salt Lake visiting Castle Gate.  Mentions B. F. Caffey

Thanks all for the input.  However whilst I hope I may have found the correct John Foote and don't think I have the correct Delia, which I think throws the existence of a Lynn into doubt.  Searching for a death for Delia, hoping to find Lynn, I found that she had in fact died in 1942 in Salt Lake city and that her husband at that time was a Don C Price.

Name:   Della Nixon Price
Death Date:   16 Apr 1942
Death Place:   Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah
Gender:   Female
Age:   63
Marital Status:   Married
Race:   White
Birth Date:   27 Mar 1879
Birth Place:   St George, Utah
Father's name:   James William Nixon
Mother's name:   Johanna Marie Schultz
Spouse's Name:   Don C Price
Document Type:   Certificate of Death

The death certificate confirms her parents.

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/75367565/della-maud-price

The thing is Delia (or Della) married Don C Price in 1899

Name:   Della Maude Nixon
Gender:   Female
Age:   20
Birth Date:   1879
Marriage Date:   3 May 1899
Marriage Place:   Washington, Utah, United States
Spouse:   Don Carlos Price
FHL Film Number:   0484821

and she is on the 1900 census with Don Carlos Price and a child Thomas 3 months.
But the one thing is that the Delia married to John says parents born:  Father USA Mother Denmark.
The Della married to Don Carlos says on 1900, 1910 & 1920 parents Father: England, Mother Denmark, but on 1930 says Father Minnesota, Mother Denmark.

But! the Delia/Della who married John had been married to Joseph Hutchison e.g Juanita living with John & Delia in 1900.  Juanita's death confirms her parents (I think!):

California Death Index
Name:   Juanita D Hallmark
[Juanita D Hutchison]
Social Security #:   558501781
Gender:   Female
Birth Date:   29 Jun 1892
Birth Place:   Utah
Death Date:   9 Dec 1986
Death Place:   San Joaquin
Mother's Maiden Name:   Nixon
Father's Surname:   Hutchison

A bit confusing???!!!  Would welcome your views
