Hi everyone,

Thanks for response. Just got back from work so am going to look through everything you've sent me.

Yes, Fanny Chandler nee Elliff is my family so will be having a look at her - lost her after the birth of birth of her son in 1850 so now know she went to Australia. The Johnson's are the same family.  Loads to look at.

Hi Ros, Maddy, Solidrock and Wivenhoe,

Have now had a chance to take a good look at all the information you've uncovered. It's definitely sorted out a few loose ends for me. Some very interesting stuff. I didn't know, for example, that Rosa/Rose Elliff went on to marry her widowed brother-in-law, William Johnson.  I wasn't aware of the BDM, Victoria website either.
