Are these two places close to each other?  Jane was referred to as "Stanley" in one place, "Stanesby" in another, and now "Stonesby".  No one I can't find anything about her parents.  However, her father's first name never changed.

In this 1964 article, she is referred to as "Jane Stanley":  https://dcms.lds.org/delivery/DeliveryManagerServlet?dps_pid=IE4042337

All those places mentioned in Hampshire are apparently 32/33 miles from Oving, as the crow flies!
Interesting article!
Also mention online of the Stanesby family and the manor of Micheldever

You'd think Thomas would be related, and that he might have left a will.

30 to 35 miles isn't a huge move within the same area.  I know that my mother's family moved all over Yorkshire after arriving there from the Greater London area.  John and Jane are related to my father's family.

Hi
Yes, it's not that far really.
There is a baptism on FamilySearch
May 1611, Micheldever
Thomas Stansbye
father Robert

And Hampshire Archives catalogue has
20 September 1638
Lease from Robert Stanesby of Micheldever to his son Thomas Stanesby for messuage, tenement with a dwelling house and barn, orchard, garden and 33 acres of arable land in Micheldever.
20 schillings per year.

That would fit with the article you sent me.  Thomas had two brothers, John and William, and his parents were Robert and Elizabeth.
