Sounds like it is not Sheila Eileen Ross Allard after all. Not to worry. Yes Allard is quite common in Canada due to its French origin I believe. Not that I can get that far back with my tree, I only get to 1773 in Suffolk, Uk. Thanks for all your assistance though. Really was much appreciated.

Sheila Eileen R Allard age 24 travelled out to Canada on the American Farmer on 15th October 1939.
She is listed as having no occupation and single.

In Aug 1957 Sheila and Florence were to have travelled from Port Alberni to London ,but their names were crossed out. Sheila is down as a stenographer and has a DOB of 25th July 1915.Intended stay in the UK was 1 month.
