Miller - Farrant - Beer, Axminster
« on: Friday 02 February 18 17:36 GMT (UK) »
Looking for some Help with my Miller family from the region of Axminster
I am researching the children of William Miller born Branscombe 1818 and his wife Anna Maria Mawditt born 1820 in Awliscombe. They married in the region of Honiton in 1840
Children, all born in Beer
Elizabeth b 1842 - Lost her after 1861 census - Did she marry
Samuel b 1844 -married Charlotte C. Dean - Can follow this line through all the census records
Maria Mawditt b 1845 - Lost her after 1861 census - Did she marry
Sarah b 1848 - Lost her after 1861 census - Did she marry
William John b 1850 - found him living with his mother in 1871 census. There is a grandson called Charles Farrant, born 1865 in the region of Honiton - who are his parents.
Did William John marry Jessie Ann Auton in 1886, in Honiton.
and finally
Hannah b 1855 - did she marry, or ?
Any suggestions, or answers would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.
Have now found that Elizabeth Miller married John Farrant in 1863, in Honiton. Have also found William John Miller marrying Elizabeth Williams June 1887, in Honiton.

Can someone help me please. In the 1871 Census I have found Hannah Miller aged 16, born Beer, living with ??. She is shown as sister in law, but I cannot read the original Census script. It looks like she is living with her sister Elizabeth, but cannot make out the surname or other details.

Not sure if it is possible to help with the early marriages of one of the Miller family lines

I think that William Miller born Seaton & Beer 30.08.1818 married Maria Anna Mawditt in Jul/Sept1840 Sidmouth, Honiton.

What I would like to do is go back another 2 generations

I think the above parents of William Miller were James Miller born 1783 Seaton & Beer, who may have married Elizabeth Gibbs on 12.07.1808 at Seaton &Beer.

Not sure if the parents of the above James Miller were William Miller and Susannah ???

Any help would be appreciated.
