That is very interesting because the Armstrongs had a depot at Blackhall Mill which is not Medomsley but not far away!

You have really cracked it this time!  I think the Robert, born in Throckley (Is this the unknown Knockley in my post?) is the Bob Armstrong shown on bottles around 1900.  But better than that, the Hopper's Nook address you have shown is the EXACT location of his brewery/bottling plant!  I think the Thomas Armstrong shown here is the son or grandson of the original Thomas Armstrong who started the business!

This looks good!   For Leases read Leazes.  Spen is correct but is now known as High Spen.  All the places mentioned are within very easy walking distance of Hopper's Nook except Spen which is on the opposite side of the Valley.  That is about a fifteen minute drive today because you have to drive along the valley to a crossing point then double back the same distance because of the road configuration but it is only about 3 or 4 miles as the crow flies and easy walking or on horseback.

I would guess that this Robert is the one who was in charge of the business in 1901.

The T ( Thomas ) aged 3 b Black Hall Mill appears in 1911 with a R Armstrong 40 occ Builders Lab b Wallgarth? and what I think is new wife K in Broomhill, Ebchester?
