May be of interest: https://www.geni.com/people/Harriet-Olsen-Pitts/6000000058857032880

NSW death: 13/09/1946 #18135 Harriet Thompson PITTS; Father-William; Mother-Ann; Islington

I am sure CoL has the right person here, but according to Qld births from 1867 children were born to William Callendar THOMSON ( under various spellings) and mother's name is consistently Jessie nee LAING (various spellings.)

There was a sister to Harriett named Ann.  Perhaps this was the source of the confusion for the informant.

Hi,

The Maryborough Chronicle, Wide Bay and Burnett Advertiser, Monday 4th November 1907 on page 2 and 3 has an article about the opening up of the Taabinga and Cresselley land areas and the results of the Land Court allocations.

On Page 3 under CRESSELLEY, Taabinga Group is shows that W. PITT was successful in selecting portion 73 of 178 acres.
