Parentage confirmation
« on: Sunday 04 February 18 14:58 GMT (UK) »
Hello

There is a debate on who the Parents are for a Thomas Bletsoe born 16 Oct 1697 Irchester Northampton. Is it possible that someone could locate to confirm for me.
I have Thomas Bletsoe and Martha surname not found.
Thank you

What's the source of your info so we can take a look?

The 1717 marriage is related to his son who is married to Mary Sparks

Thanks

Was that from an uploaded tree? One needs to be very wary of unreferenced or copied information which has been put on ancestry trees. Far better get referenced information from the experts on rootschat  ;)

How can a man born in 1697 have a son who marries in 1717?

The image for the Irchester baptism states that Thomas is the son of Thomas Bletsoe and Martha his wife, born 16 October and baptised 5 November 1697.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Hello Josey
Thanks
My apologies I had my eyes on two places not a good idea!
As for Ancestry this is why I am checking as it was claimed by another Bletso family member and between several now it being disputed.
I generally always do a three way check BMD which I so far has never let me down
Regards
