Hi, I'm getting a bit confused as there seem to be 2 possible parents for my 5th grt grandmother and not sure which is correct.
Mary Shaw bapt 11 Dec 1796 Dunton Bassett, Leicestershire.
Parents - Henry Shaw and Ann.
This is where there seem to either be 2 henry shaws or 2 marriages for the same person.
I have Henry Shaw bapt 8 Jul 1770 Misterton, Leicestershire
Parents Henry Shaw and Dorchas Buckingham.
Then there are 2 marriages near Dunton Bassett
A Henry Shaw marries Ann Trussler/Truslove 13 Aug 1793 Kimcote and Walton, Leicestershire
This is before Marys baptism so I thought this was Mary's parents and Kimcote isn't far from Dunton.
Then there is this although its listed as Banns:
Henry Shaw marries Ann Palmer 10 Dec 1797 Misterton, Leicestershire
But This is nearly a year after Mary was baptised I know people sometimes didnt marry before having a child but I'm not sure.
I have Marys mother Ann Shaw as being buried 17 Mar 1848 Dunton Bassett and gives birth date as abt 1773. This would fit the Ann Palmer as there was an Ann Palmer bapt Aug 1773 Kimcote and I think Ann Trusler/Truslove was bapt 1766 Burbage.

Parents - William Palmer and Sarah (I cant see a marriage for them yet)
There is a Marriage in Kimcote though for an Ann Palmer to a Charles Collins Herritage 22 Aug 1791 Kimcote. ALthough this Ann who married Charles could be the Ann Palmer bapt 19 Aug 1770 Gilmorton daughter of Edward and Susanna.
