Ships surgeon 1865
« on: Monday 05 February 18 13:48 GMT (UK) »
I have a Charles McCarthy bn about 1829 Newcastle West Limerick Ireland to Denis McCarthy & Anastasia O'Brien.

He is on the 1861 census for England aged 29 as assistant surgeon Grand Harbour Malta ship Liffey.

I've got the information that a Charles Denis McCarthy died 15.06.1865 Point de Galle India Ships surgeon HMS Vigilant son of late Denis McCarthy of Newcastle West.  I am unable to find any other information about this but would like to establish if he is my Charles.

He is on the 1861 census for England aged 29 as assistant surgeon Grand Harbour Malta ship Liffey.

I would appreciate any help
Many thanks
