Please help me find any living relatives
« on: Monday 05 February 18 17:40 GMT (UK) »
Please could you help me find any living relatives.

I live in England and found out that my great grandfather (A merchant seamen from Yorkshire, England by the name of; George Henry Learoyd) moved to Australia just before the outbreak of World War One and married a ‘Elsa Gertrude Kuhn’

Elsa was a resident of Australia and I believe they had a child before my great grandfather joined the Australian army.
He died just before the end of the war in France.

If you know how I might be able to pick up the story after this point I would be most grateful as I’m sure there are family out there to complete my story.

Many thanks
Vincent

That’s amazing news! Thanks for your assistance. She lived to a ripe old age it seems.
How would I find out about their child (I’m guessing they did have a child?)
Where should I search?

Many thanks again

Thanks ‘Sgf’ I know I had asked this question in the past but I had changed my e-mail and lost all the information.
I’ve only just started this new account so appreciate you helping me find my old corespondence.

It’s a,ways worth a try at finding out if any new information has appeared since my last time here.

Many thanks for your help I am sincerely grateful

Learoyd
