Looking for baptism of Elizabeth Leyson
« on: Monday 05 February 18 18:47 GMT (UK) »
Hi

This lady married Robert Cornewell, one of my ancestors at All Saints Fulbourn in 1630. I suspect the name might be a corruption as I have had noy searching for her baptism. Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards

David ;)

Hi
I have 2 possible baptisms.
Elizabeth Lauson 20 Apr 1600 Cambridge All Saints. Father - James.
Elizabeth Lawson 3 Aug 1606 Cambridge St Edward. Father - William.

Either of these could fit a transcript or mis - hearing of 'Leyson' plus Fulbourn is on the edge of Cambridge so not too far for either baptisms in relation to marriage.
Richard Dudley of Cosby. Gent
George Bent of Cosby. Gent
William Black of Kilby. Gent
Bernard Cotton of Dadlington. Esq
Sir Thomas Halford of Wistow. Bart
Richard Swynfen of Sutton Cheney. Gent
John Cotes of Aylestone. Gent
John Freeston of East Norton. Gent
Sir John Bernard of Abington.
Edward Shuckburgh of Naseby. Esq
Richard Worsley of Deeping. Esq
Thomas Hobson of Glen. Gent
John Grant of Stretton Parva. Gent
John Miles of Heanley Hall. Gent
Thomas Dabridgecourt. Esq
Sir Clement Edmondes

Hi Fenboy

Thanks for those 2 baptisms I will need to have a look for baptism in the morning to see if I can see any naming pattern.
