His was born 1918 Guildford  ........so I thought maybe there is a military record but I did not see one.

Maybe he is still alive, celebrating his 100th birthday.
And if he didn't marry (or at least not in England or Wales) then we wont easily find any more about him.

William Avery of Guildford died 1 Mar 1920 at 76 Eridge Rd, Thornton Heath. Cause of death was bronchial pneumonia(no PM). reported by R W Wilson -occupier of 76 Eridge Rd.

76 Eridge Road was Croydon Union Infirmary, later named Mayday Hospital

Thanks rosie. Why would someone describe themself as an occupier of an infirmary? Was he also a patient?
