this photo is of my husband's great grandfather.
Little is known of his earlier life but he was a foreman in charge of a gang of men working on the main road in Neath.

The photo is quite grainy so I wondered if someone could possibly clean it up please.

i am also going to post another picture of him in uniform.

Not sure about this as there's not a lot of detail in his features. I might have another try later on my other machine.

Added that there is a strong blue cast in the shadows showing on my main machine. My little latop didn't pick it up!  So replaced it. New restore given above!

It's that awful moustache that all men seemed have. I have put another photo of him where his features are better but he still has that awful moustache!!

Thanks Gadget for the new restore and barbering. I wonder if the men of today will be editing some of their own pictures in years to come when they remove their beards and moustaches?

I had scanned the original photo back in 2004 before we knew who "the man" was. I can't remember now whether the corners had been cut off or whether the photo had originally been in a frame.
It's nice to see corners to the photo too.

The man is my husband's great grandfather.
I like the boy in the photo just standing looking at the photographer. Obviously doing what we would call "photo bombing" today.
He is obviously better dressed than Frank but still interested in what is going on around.
I suppose he could be with the photographer. Pity we'll never know.
