CENSUS 1901 - Where is Rose Penelope Blakeman (b. ~1881)
« on: Tuesday 06 February 18 21:48 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Despite the subject's unusual name, I cannot locate Rose on the 1901 census. I suspect it is a poorly transcribe census record on FindMyPast  :-[

I am looking for a Rose Penelope Blakeman (b. ~1881) on the 1901 census

1891: She is living with her parents (Thomas and Margaret) in Cheddleton, Staffs

1901: TBC [she is not living with her parents and she did not marry until 1908]

1911: She is living with her husband (Walter Johnson) in Leek, Staffs

Tonight's race to find the needle in the FindMyPast haystack starts........now!!  ;D

[RESOLVED]

Well - a big thank you!

It took me a while to work out how to search with the piece/folio/page numbers but I finally found "Rose Penceota  Blackman". At least FindMyPast transcribed her name correctly!  :D

With the benefit of hindsight, the written name does resemble "Rose Penelope Blackman" so they were always destined to get the surname wrong.

Well, tonight's challenged proved too easy for you! I may need to unleash my long standing mystery of illusive Benjamin Johnson - let me know if you fancy the challenge of locating him.  ;)
