Have sent another PM with a bit more info.

If you do decide to purchase a birth certificate/printout would you let me know how it goes. I've not had dealings with BDM NZ as regards purchasing non-historical birth certificates.

I've had no real problem purchasing a non-historical death certificate but I can see privacy problems when the birth certificate of, possibly, a still living complete stranger is involved.
