Parents please if possible.
« on: Wednesday 07 February 18 02:56 GMT (UK) »
Hello,

I am looking for parents for Catherine BRUCE, she was born around 1802 Lanarkshire, Scotland.

She married  William LOCKHART, 17 January, 1823 Lanarkshire, Scotland, he was born around 1800...also in Lanarkshire.

Any help appreciated however small.

Thank you.

Cienna.

If she died in Scotland after 1855 her death certificate should give her parent's names.

Familysearch has fairly good coverage of some records so always worth checking there too.

Added: Scotland's People shows the death of a Catherine Lockhart (other surname Bruce) in Tradeston district in 1869. It will cost you 6 credits to view the record. Well worth a punt I think.  :)

You can also try looking for her baptism on Scotland's People as it should also give parent's names even though prior to 1855 it will be a record of the church register.
