Norma Snuffer's death
« on: Wednesday 07 February 18 07:37 GMT (UK) »
I've been trying to find the death information for my mom's aunt Norma J SNUFFER (née BROOKS) b). 1/23/1924 in Lester WV. Her husband Sebert SNUFFER died last year and I was able to find her birth info from their marriage record that was put up on Sebert's findagrave page, but I haven't been able to find anything for her death. My mom told me what she knew, she said she died sometime in the 1970's in West Virginia from a house fire or something, but didn't know anything else about her. I've used all the resources I've got, but can't find anything. Can you guys help me out, please? Thank you.

I found some newspaper articles that mention her in the 70's.  The most recent one was from 27 Jan. 1976, which mentions Mrs. Sebert Snuffer being among the attendees of a baby shower in Glen Rogers, West Virginia.

Perhaps you could contact the cemetery where her husband was buried and they could see if she is buried with him.

The date of birth for Norma Jane Byrge on the marriage cert is 23 january 1934  not 1924.

FIND A GRAVE and the obituary show a date of 21 January 1924 - 11 March 2017 for James Sebert Snuffer

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/177851392

but there is an entry on family search showing James Sebert Snuffer - 21 January 1924 and 11 March 1989  ???  An error -  ???

Oh yeah, I meant 1934...I was kinda tired when I wrote this out, thanks for pointing that out Sandra.

I've pretty much got everything covered for my great uncle Sebert, it's just Norma's death is a mystery I've been unable to solve, I've gotten everything I could get from my mother, and she don't know very much other than what I listed.

Found quite a few things on Sebert, but nothing for her.  ???
