Walter Charles Rudd listed on FIND A GRAVE passed away 16 February 1921 Longford, County Longford, Ireland.

Casualty of the Great War, Serjeant Rudd born 1879 died in Longford Barracks whilst serving with the 9th (Queen's Royal) Lancers~Service No - 313616.

He was 42 and left a widow, Bessie Florence Rudd of Hadleigh, Suffolk.
marriage registered September 1911 - Cosford - 4a 1886
a son Douglas H C Rudd birth registered December 1912 - Cosford - 4a 1729

UK & Ireland, Nursing Registers, 1898-1968 for Douglas Heatly Cecil Rudd - 1957 - 1958 - registered 28-5-1943 - R A M C Hospitals.

He was accepted for commemoration as war dead on 2nd March 2016, and his name was immediately added to the United Kingdom Book of Remembrance.

Married Emily Caroline Ball born 1881– Reigate, Surrey. Had 3 children -

Sister of Walter - Vera Nellie Snowdrop Rudd - 1891 - married David A Brown - Cosford Suffolk - 1911 - 4a 1700
Probate for Violet Nellie Snowdrop Brown - passed away 31 October 1942 - probate 22 December 1942 Suffolk. 92 Angel Street Hadleigh Suffolk. Administration to David Albert brown  - £546 - 6s -  9d.

Reginald Garnet Rudd (son of Garnet Cairo Rudd)  1912 - 2001  - married 1948 Redhill Surrey - Doris Nora Green - 1915 - June 1996 Brighton Sussex. Had 2 children - a daughter "S.L." - December 1950 and a son "P.J." June 1953

Peggy Dorothy Rudd 1914 - 2007 (daughter of Garnet Cairo Rudd) married Maxwell Stonham Byner 8 May Eastbourne Sussex - 1911–1991
A daughter "P.S." born June 1943 and a daughter "J" born December 1945 - both born Brighton.

There is a marriage Douglas Heatly Cecil Rudd to Vera N Rudd - Registered Croydon -  September 1939 - 2a 2952 - this could be a daughter of Garney Cairo Rudd born 1910.

Slowly, slowly Carol.  Hoping for more success with some of these appeals for relatives.  Its been amazing how many times you find an ancestry tree, only to be told they are a distant 3rd cousin x 5 times removed !!!  Not close enough relationships for CWGC unfortunately - they like quite a close relative for there purposes.
