Hello Mike Gordon

Your uncle Leo and aunt Rose were my grandparents. So that would make Guglielmo my great grandfather. Leo was in fact Leonello not Leonardo. Leonardo Biagi was his son, my father.  They owned the Castle Cafe in Irvine.
I have only just started to research my family tree. Ancestry.com seems to have quite a bit of information.

Hi Yvonne,
Great to hear from you.
Yes I did know I should have said Leonello, just a typo mistake.
Leonard and I were the same age and we used to hang out together. He crashed my brand new motorbike when giving it a try. Leo wasn't too happy at paying for the repairs.
Carla and I still exchange xmas cards but that's about it.
I need to pm you but until you have made three posts Roots won't allow me to, so chat away a bit until I can.
I have a huge tree already for the Biagi's but as I said earlier, it's the Lemetti/Corrieri branch I'm stuck on.
I did hear from Gerald Biagi (son of Francis) quite sometime ago but when my hard drive crashed, I lost his email and cannot contact him again. I've tried everything I know but no luck.
If you answer me a couple more times, then I can pm.
All the best,
Mike

Hello Mike, Guglielmo BIAGI is my great grandfather also, so it seems we are distant cousins.  I am trying to trace his birth/death certificates.  Have you by any chance been through that process already?  Many thanks, Mark
Hi Mark,
Are you still logging in?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the message. I don't know that I will be much help to you for your search as I have only just begun mine, but it is great to be in touch with another relative. A daunting task this family tree stuff. Have you visited Barga?
Cheers,
Yvonne

Hi
Yes I have, three times, twice when I was young, we used to stay with Guglielmo and Carolina. And then my wife paid (as a birthday present) for a long weekend five years ago.
Was nice to go back but only met one Biagi who said he wasn't related, although I later proved he was.
What about you, have you been there?
When we get to the pm stage, I'll arange to send you a copy of my work on the Biagi tree if you want it.
I started the tree about ten years ago, so a lot of work done since then.
Mike

Hey, Mike, you aware one branch of the Biagi family moved from Irvine to Tanunda, in South Australia's Barossa Valley wine-growing region?

Hi
Thanks for that.
No that's not something I know of. USA I know a little about but not there.
Do you have any other details so as I may see how it fits in with my family?
