Strawbridge Shop / Department Store in Swansea appx 1980
« on: Saturday 10 February 18 20:26 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Please could anyone tell me about the Strawbridge store in Swansea, a family member can remember it being there in 1980.

It would be great to see a picture and/or know what street/road where the shop was.

Thanks

Hi Osprey, thanks for the welcome.

I am looking into the Strawbridge cake makers in Swansea, so I had seen their website, but thank you anyway.

It was more of a general / department store kind of shop that a family member had seen in the 1980's.

Kat

well, I used to live just outside Swansea and I don't remember it. The big department store was David Evans, it became part of House of Fraser. There was also Sidney Heath in Caer Street which then became Treasure probably around the late seventies.
