« on: Sunday 11 February 18 09:24 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I am looking for somebody who would be willing to take a photo of my great grandfathers burial site. His name was Alexander WATSON born in Fintray Scotland in 1863 and he died at Dyce train station and was buried in Newhills Cemetery on the 17 Feb 1928 in Section A, Lair 242.
Thanks
Mark

Hi, I'm not too hot with a camera but here are a couple of photographs of the stone. The lettering is quite faded and I didn't have anything with me to transcribe the stone. I use Irfanview to view and zoom in and it is readable(just). I hope these are of some use to you but if you would like the full version of the photographs, please PM me your e-mail address. A cemetery worker once gave me a tip that if a stone was hard to read and that was to smear some earth into the lettering. Unfortunately the ground was frozen so I couldn't try this.

Thanks Brian,
I will check the photos tonight and see if I need them emailed.
I greatly appreciate your time and effort especially in weather that freezes the ground. I'm in Australia so that is an extreme I have never encountered.
