Hi,

I don't believe it is 8 o'clock.  It will be 8h 0m PM - all Scottish certificates I have seen have the time written as h and m, with AM or PM used to differentiate.

And definitely Inkerman Grove  :D

I promised I'd update. I didn't get a re-scan, but the response from the GRO was:

"The entry has been checked, and column one appears to read “Fifth October 1872, 8H oM (8 hours 0 minutes)“P.M”, 29 Inkerman, Grove."
