Just as a side bit, Charles & Janes eldest daughter Emma Louisa married Richard Homes in Fitzroy, Victoria    wonder about the Homes Holmes!!!!

A couple named Richard and Louisa HOMES arrived in Victoria in 1866.
He was aged 24, a labourer and she 23.
A child named Richard aged 2 also.
A note on the manifest.
"Louisa, wife of Richard HOMES delivered of a female alive child 5th March 1866."

This is the birth registration lodged in Victoria after arrival.

This is possibly the death of the above woman. A change of surname spelling perhaps.

Louisa Stephens was the youngest daughter of George Alexander and Elizabeth Stephens, she married Richard Homes 13 July 1863 at St Phillips Bethnal Green.

Richard Homes was 20 occupation Porter of 9 Tyssen Street father Richard Homes
Louisa Stephens was 21 also of Tyssen Street father George Alexander Stephens, shoemaker
Witness George Alexander Stephens and Elizabeth Stephens.

Her brother Willie/William married Sarah Wilkinson  23 November 1857 at St Phillips he was 34 of 5 Hare Street, she was 43 and a widow of 4 Hare Street father William Ellitt a weaver. Witnesses are his parents.
Brother Samuel married Elizabeth Mullens  29 January 1854 also at St Phillips he was 24 she was 33 both of Little Pearl Street.

Her brother James Stephens married 28 December 1857 age 22 of Hare Street, father G A Stephens- Mary Anne Hurley age20 also of Hare Street father William Hurley a carpenter
Witnesses are his brother Samuel Stephens and sister Louisa Stephens

I wondered if there was a link given  Richard Homes & Louisa Stephens had married....

I have Richard Homes (married to Emily Louisa Suffolk) son of Richard and Louisa born 10 May 1863 london....
