That looks really good, Kay99 - and the age is a spot-on match for James’s age of 30 in the 1881 census.
Ayr: Barnes, Wylie
Caithness: MacGregor
Essex: Eldred (Pebmarsh)
Gloucs: Timbrell (Winchcomb)
Hants: Stares (Wickham)
Lincs: Maw, Jackson (Epworth, Belton)
London: Pierce
Suffolk: Markham (Framlingham)
Surrey: Gosling (Richmond)
Wilts: Matthews, Tarrant (Calne, Preshute)
Worcs: Milward (Redditch)
Yorks: Beaumont, Crook, Moore, Styring (Huddersfield); Middleton (Church Fenton); Exley, Gelder (High Hoyland); Barnes, Birchinall (Sheffield); Kenyon, Wood (Cumberworth/Denby Dale)

I also think it fits apart from birthdate which might be taken from an online tree I noticed

By 1861 (below) the family had moved south to East Keswick. Yorkshire and James isn't living with them by 1871 and by 1881 the family were further south in Shropshire

George Brown    37 b Dundar Scotland Farm Bailiff
Margaret Brown    36 b Yetholm, Scotlland
James Brown 11  b Ellingham
Jane Brown 9
George Brown 8
John Brown 6
Robert Brown    4
Christiana Brown 3
William Brown    8/12

Added - James is listed as a  Milliner & Dressmaker in 1881 which is an fairly unusual occuption for a man - I wonder if in 1871 he is living at Pontefract, Yorkshire  - Listed as James Brown b 1851 Scotland working as Drapers Apprentice to a Draper  who also employed a Milliner.

This is the family I posted in 1861 on Family Search https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M71Y-FZD

On Anc a 1851 search for James Brown born 1850 Ellingham, Yorkshire should find him -but doesn't -will  relook!

For James in 1851 on Anc search for his father George b 1826 Scotland with wife Margaret living in Yorkshire and they are living in parish of Ellingham.

I think James doesn't come up in 1851 because he is listed as 4 months old which must confuse a search!
