Struggling to interpret maps.

I have an entry for Henry Shenmacher, Friar’s Walk, St Nicholas Parish Cork.

48, 21

I can see Friar’s Walk on various maps but I am struggling to definitively locate this property. Can anyone help

It may not be possible.
His position on page is 43, but as there was several versions of maps used, the one on Ask About Ireland may not match. I think Find My Past has a different one.
The map on Ask About Ireland hasn't got the positions for St.Nicholas parish marked.
None of the city parishes have positions marked.

To find the map reference 48;21 you would need the correct map and according to the Map Guide on Ask About Ireland it was not possible to identify which map was used for each year.

If you look at the printed page where his name appears you can see the first two columns are where the numbers 48;21 come from. 48 is Number of Reference to Map and 21 is the Local number, but what that means I've no idea.

Thanks for this. I thought I was doing something wrong. It’s obviously harder than I thought.

Thanks again
