Haven't got there yet Jim! Still looking at the Ramsgate connection.

Complicated - there is another Ramsgate Frederick George Young who died in action October 1915 - he left his effects to a sister Mrs Emma Clara Mills - does she fit?

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,

Hi. Sister Emma married Nathaniel Goldsmith wonder if it was her.  Their mothers name was Emma and was still living during this time.  They were both single in 1911 and living at home Belle Vue Cottages Ramsgate.  Henry did not marry until 1929.
I really do appreciate all this help you both are giving me as it is so frustrating.  My mum is the sole survivor of Henry's children and it would be lovely to be able to tell her more.  Looks like we were very wrong about the man standing but can confirm that Henry (Harry) is the man sitting, my grandad.

Still trying to eliminate candidates for Frederick George.  Another Ramsgate man died June 1915, son of Robert Anderson Young and Clara of Rodney Street - not him?

Hi  No sorry, that family had origins in Scotland, my family are originally Canterbury, Dover and Ramsgate only.  This is very frustrating but I am glad of your help

Frustrating I know but I really have no further ideas.

While one could trawl through the 42 HS (or variants) Youngs in the artillery medal cards to find those with the 1914 Star as jim1 suggest, medal cards don't have any identifying personal info so again, dead end for my ideas at any rate without more clues.
