The only problem is, at the moment is that it is speculation that it is the right couple - to be really sure you would have to get the marriage certificate. That might also give her profession.

You could really do with the marriage cert to make sure it is the right couple!

Can anyone else find anything please? Jessie was only 13 in 1911 and still a scholar, so no idea what she ending up doing as job.

That's a very good point. I did look on the newspaper archive today in the library but couldn't find a marriage announcement or death announcement which is what I was hoping for.

I can't find a Jessie or Hazel Blair in 1939, so there is the chance she remarried.

Thanks Groom, I was going to try and go to the library in my lunch break and do that very check.

Thanks a lot,

There's a school record in Slough, Buckinghamshire
Jessie Seymour
born 22.8.97

also Gladys, born 16.6.00
Both admitted 8.1.06
Father Edward
address 21 Wellington St
previous school Slough British
Jessie left 28.7.09, Gone to High Wycombe

Sadly, Gladys is marked up as "left" 26.2.06, Deceased

Using that date of birth, with a couple of years either side,  a free search of the index to the 1939 Register has a possibility
Jessie Knight (Blair), born 22 Aug 1898, in Sutton Coldfield M.B., with Bessie Fieldhouse and 1 more person (I think another Fieldhouse)

There's a Jessie Knight, d-o-b 22 Aug 1897, died Taunton Deane, February 1991.
Are all these Jessie's the same person or not?
John

I still think the only way to be sure is to get the marriage certificate. Do we know for sure that Robert Johnson Blair actually married?
