Absent Voters List Aldershot Division look up and possible scan please
« on: Thursday 15 February 18 13:28 GMT (UK) »
Hello
Has anyone got access to the 1918 and 1919 Aldershot Division Absent Voters List?
I'm looking for my Great Grandfather, I have him on the 1920 one from FindMyPast but that's all FindMyPast have.
Its the South Farnborough polling District
8 Park Road
William Brown (may have Robert as middle name)
Army No 3646
Royal Field Artillery.

If possible I'd love to have a scan of the page on the AVL please.

Your help and time are greatly appreciated

Hi GGYD

The British Library entry for Aldershot from Cheffins Guide to Parliamentary Constituencies is below.

FindMyPAst have put 1920 online as that's all they have.

For the other years you or someone on your behald will have to visit the archives

http://www3.hants.gov.uk/archives/hals-collections/electoral-register.htm

It might be a good idea to contact them and confirm they do have what you are looking for.
