hi I am trying to get some information regarding Charles, his son James McGonigal married Mary Quigg in garvagh Ireland on the 8th of may 1891 Charles was present at the wedding and signed the wedding certificate could anyone help find were Charles was born and if he married

Have you checked 1901 and 1911 census to get an idea of age?

Since he'd have been born before registration of births then you need to look for church records- may not be online or go back far enough-

How do you know that the Charles McGonigal that signed marriage was actually his father (and not a brother, cousin or other relative)?

Marriage lists James' residence as Corlecky and father Charles as DEAD- aside from that he isn't one of the witnesses as clearly shown on record- and marriage took place at Glenullin outside Garvagh
