Jane Buckland

I'm trying to trace Jane Buckland born 1821 in Burnham, Bucks. She appears in the 1841 Census for Clewer, but I've lost track of her after this.

You have posted in the Berks site instead of Bucks, however there is a Jane Buckland who marries a James Tubb in Langley Marish, Bucks. There are two different dates online-one is for 13/3/1842 and the other is 24/4/1842, so just after the 1841 census-could be her.
regards.

Thanks for the reply Paco.

Unfortunately it was a different Jane Buckland that James Tubb married in Langley Marish in 1842.

I posted this on the Berks site because Jane appears in the 1841 Census for Clewer, Berks, thinking that perhaps she married someone there and settled in the area. The Jane I'm looking for was the daughter of Thomas Buckland and Jane Neild.

Looks like she married a George Boxall, soldier on 25/10/1849 St. Pancras, London - shown as daughter of Thomas Buckland, farmer.

In 1851 she is living in St. Marylebone as Jane Boxhall - shown bc.1822 Burnham.   Shown as 'wife' although George not with her.

A Jane Boxall aged 30 death reg'd December 1852 Marylebone which is probably her.

Thanks Annette - I think you're right. I have since found a George Boxall fighting in the Crimean War in 1854, so perhaps during the 1851 Census he was off soldiering somewhere.
