Food surveys - Further back in time 1900's
« on: Friday 16 February 18 18:10 GMT (UK) »
Good afternoon all,

Does anybody know how to get a copy of the surveys that are used in the 'further back in time series'  These were the ones used when they went back to 1900 before the 1940 Food survey reports.  A screen shot from episode 1 has a title of 'food as a whole 1900-1919' and 'Details of family expenditure on food' &  'Consumer expenditure survey'.

Any thoughts?

Regards

Wondering if they obtained the old surveys from ONS (Office of National Statistics), It was previously OPCS (Office of Population Censuses and Surveys).  I used quite a lots of their surveys when I worked in various research posts.

You might have to contact them direct as the listed ones are the most recent ones but the older ones will still be there somewhere.  Most University Libraries used to have them all.
