When he states, on marriage, that he is "Of the parish of . . . ." that simply refers to where he was living at the time, and where the banns were to be called ;D

It has absolutely nothing to do with his place of birth! :D

Totally agree, KGarrad, although no stone should be left unturned  :)

I looked at Trowell and there are only 5 Meakin baptisms 1757-1771 to one family.
