That would be his father and mother.

Emma was born in Woodbridge, Suffolk in 1853.  Her father was David Jacobs and her mother was Jemima Seyers.  Her mother died in 1844 and on the 1851 census Emma is living with her older sister Sarah.

Emma was said earlier in the thread to have been born in 1843 rather than 1853.

I am so sorry Emma was born in 1843 and her mother Jemima died in 1844.  I need to wear my glasses more!!!
