The little girl's fringe makes me think late 50s. Earlier in the decade I seem to remember we had our hair combed to one side and held back with a ribbon. The ribbon matched our dress of course!

I remember my sisters and I wearing ribbons on our hair back in the mid 50's (memories) :)

She was obviously a trend setter, bet on the next year school photo they all had fringes!
