Hi All

I have just received in the post a photo of a long lost relative as a young lad, I belive it is about 1914 or so when it was taken. the photo has already been restored from the original which I have a copy of but it is quite pixelated. I wonder if anyone could add some colour tones to this.

Many thanks for any help,
pineapple

Would it be possible for you to post your copy of the original photo.  It is very difficult to work out some of the details which have been blurred during this attempt at restoration.

Hi thanks for this

I am attaching the original but as you can see it is really pixelated. That's the only other copy I have.
That's the only other copy I have and it is highly pixelated.
Best wishes and thanks.

As you can see, it is hard to know what's going on in the background, but here's my attempt at it. I have also reduced the background in the second photo.

Thank you so much Trishanne - that is so good, especially givenI know it was a hard one to do as it was so pixelated. Thank you it is a lovely job you have done.

Glad it suits. I'm sure that you are aware that the background detail is simply a studio backdrop, but I bet was an interesting one at the time. A farmyard theme I reckon... looks like a couple of cows in there.
