Bethnal Green Request
« on: Wednesday 21 February 18 13:15 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking up my relatives with the surname Sharkey that lived at 84 Fuller St Bethnal Green. Can anyone look this up for me. Thanks!

Hi, I think its going to be between 1900-1910. I know my great-grandfather was born 1906 (David Alfred) and the problem is I've not no record or birth records for his father. Morris/Maurice, the name is possibly fake. But I found a Morris Sharkey on a ship register with this address on it.

I presume this is David's birth, with mother's maiden name?

That looks right. I don't know how good the surname is. She fled from Odessa to UK but was illiterate. Ketcherov was the only name i was given. This looks positive.

Yes I've seen that one. Ordered the print of this to see if there are any additional details. But apart from these slim pickings (and Morris Sharkey who died 1932) I've got absolutely nothing else.

He was involved in several other illegal marries. One in the USA to a woman named Kittie, one in Scotland, one to a woman possibly called Leah/Leia and had a daughter called Sarah and one to Minya.

Other than that I have no other information. Thanks for the help!

Could Morris Kurvalsky be Morris Sharkey, odd there are two men named Morris? In which case could Minnie Kutcherowitz have changed hers to Debbie Mark? It will be interesting to see what the certificate says. Let us know.

Yes I will, thanks for helping. I've also ordered the death certificate for Morris and the birth for David so hopefully will illuminate more information.
