Thomas Wilkinson and Elizabeth Cullen of Dublin
« on: Wednesday 21 February 18 15:29 GMT (UK) »
Looking for information on my 4th great grandparents, Thomas Wilkinson and Elizabeth Cullen of Dublin, parish of St. Nicholas without.  My third great grandfather (son) Patrick, joined the 100th regiment of Foot in 1812 and was sent to Canada, where he stayed.  He has a brother Thomas, a sister Elizabeth, and I believe two other siblings.  Would love to find any living descendants of this family, and/or more information of what became of the family after Patrick left.  Also, although i have been able to find the marriage of Thomas and Elizabeth, as well as the birth records of Thomas jr and Elizabeth jr, I have yet to be able to find a birth record for my patrick (born 1789, St, Nicholas without, according to his military records).  Any help much appreciated!

Hi
Do you have any idea when your Elizabeth was born?
I have an Elizabeth born 1770 in Dublin, sister to Murtagh born 1755, whom I'm trying to find out more about. They were children of Daniel and Margaret.

Sorry about the quote, I have no idea how to reply to individual messages.  I don't have any idea when she was born, though 1755 would be a logical time.  The only other possible information i have on Elizabeth is that I think she had a sister named Catherine who married a James Bulger.  I do know that the name Bulger appears on a couple of the baptisms.

You will notice that the year Patrick was born is absent from this register.

Hi
Unfortunately I don't think our Elizabeths are the same, having looked at your Elizabeth's marriage to Thomas Wilkinson in 1784, I don't think she can be my Elizabeth who was born in 1770.
It's a shame but just goes to show how popular the Cullen surname is in Dublin!
