Yes , I'd been considering that. Its quite a way to the south, but its a possibility. Am I right in thinking that Llanbadarn records do not exist in online form ? I'm wary of suggesting dates until I know that I've considered and discounted them.

FindMyPast has Llanbadarn baptisms on line - cannot see a David Evans that "fits" the 1805 birth/baptism year.

Have deleted remainder of post - not relevant!

HanesTeulu, where are you finding Llanbadarn Fawr baptisms online from before 1813? I have family from there and I was pretty sure that before 1813 or so, they're not online?

That marriage is rather too early for the David & Elizabeth having children in the 1830s.

- noticed you've deleted the marriage info!

How sure about Elizabeth's maiden name are the family? I can see a couple of possibles in Aberffrwd Calvinistic Methodist for children of David Evans & Elizabeth Jones
John bp 30 Sep 1832, born 2 July 1832
Evan bp 18 Dec 1836, born 18 Oct 1836
But that could be a coincidence, given the less than unusual names.

I was confusing Llanbadarn Fawr, outskirts Aberystwyth with the Parish of Llanbadarn Fawr (Radnorshire).
